    Managing Partner

    Jeremy Golding

    a British national, is Founder and Managing Director of Golding Capital Partners based in Munich. Since 1999 he has grown Golding Capital Partners to become one of Germany’s leading investment managers for private equity fund of funds investments.

    Jeremy Golding looks back on a 20-year international career with leading multinational companies. Mr Golding has lived and worked in Germany, US, France, UK and the Middle East, holding management positions with General Electric, GE International, GE Capital, and the Boston Consulting Group. He holds an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.

    Managing Partner

    Hubertus Theile-Ochel

    Managing Partner at Golding Capital Partners, joined the company in 2000. Mr Theile-Ochel is responsible for all Sales activities and is member of the Investment Committee. 

    Mr Theile-Ochel worked as a consultant for A.T. Kearney's Munich office for four years, leading strategy and restructuring projects in numerous European countries and a variety of sectors. Before that, he completed an apprenticeship at the Deutsche Bank and worked for BMW in Pretoria (South Africa) and for Bain & Company in Munich in the areas of market analysis and research.

    He holds a degree in Business Administration from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich.

    Managing Partner

    Andreas Rizos

    Managing Partner, Head of Finance and Controlling, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2008.

    He has more than 12 years experience in the field of Finance and Private Equity, most of which he gained at international audit companies, as well as with a growth capital firm as Investment Manager. Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners, Mr Rizos worked in Transaction Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers. As Senior Manager, he coordinated the due diligence process on multiple buyout transactions, primarily for large investment firm clients.

    Mr Rizos holds a business degree with honors from Julius-Maximilians-Universität in Würzburg with focus on auditing, taxation and capital market theory. Moreover he has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2005.

    Partner, Head of Buyout

    Daniel Boege

    Partner and Head of Buyout with Golding Capital Partners, joined the company in 2011. He is responsible for the identification, analysis, due diligence and selection of buy-out funds.

    Before joining Golding Capital Partners, Mr Boege gained experience as an investment professional in private equity firms over 10 years. During this time he worked for Permira in Frankfurt and Vestar Capital Partners in Munich and was involved in various national and international transactions.

    Mr Boege earned a BSc and an MSc in Management, with distinction, from the London School of Economics. He also holds an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau.

    Partner, Head of Infrastructure

    Dr. Matthias Reicherter

    Partner and Head of Infrastructure Investments, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2011. In this role he is responsible for all aspects of the evaluation and selection of infrastructure fund managers, implementation of co-investment strategies and the management of infrastructure asset portfolios.

    Prior to his current role he was a Director within Barclays Infrastructure Funds and DEPFA Bank plc were he worked on the development, financing and asset management of infrastructure projects in Europe and North America. Matthias Reicherter has experience in projects across a range of infrastructure sectors including transport and social infrastructure as well as in the energy sector.

    Matthias Reicherter graduated from the University of Augsburg and completed a doctorate in corporate finance at the University of Greifswald.

    Managing Director, Head of US

    Erik Swimmer

    Managing Director and Head of U.S. Investments, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2013 to open the New York office. He is responsible for the identification, analysis, due diligence and selection of private equity, private debt as well as infrastructure fund investments in the United States.

    Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners, Mr Swimmer was a Managing Director with the private equity firm Sun Capital Partners in New York, as well as a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions practices at Credit Suisse First Boston and Merrill Lynch in New York and London, respectively.

    Mr Swimmer has an MBA from Columbia University and a BA in Economics from New York University.

    Managing Director, Head of Structuring

    Manuel Gruber

    Managing Director and Head of Structuring, has joined Golding Capital Partners in 2006 and is responsible for the product structuring team. Product structuring includes besides the legal and tax design of the investment products also their financial structuring and modelling.

    During his previous professional career he gained over ten years of experience in tax advisory services and auditing. Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners he worked for Ernst & Young in the tax structuring division for institutional closed-end funds. He also holds extensive experience in the field of legal and financial due diligence of international financial transactions and development of financial models.

    Mr Gruber completed studies to achieve an MSc in Finance as well as MBA at Danube University. Furthermore, he accomplished the CEFA/CIIA exam as financial analyst.

    Börge Grauel

    Managing Director, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2006 and is responsible for the identification, due diligence and selection of private debt funds and the management of private debt funds porfolio.

    Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners in 2006, Mr Grauel spent three years as a consultant with a focus on the private equity practice at L.E.K. Consulting in Munich and London.

    Mr Grauel completed his studies with a degree in International Management at the University of Bamberg and Madrid. Furthermore he is a member of the CFA Institute.

    Fund Investments

    Fabian Pötter

    Managing Director, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2012. He is responsible for the identification, analysis, due diligence and selection of infrastructure funds and the management of the infrastructure funds portfolio.

    Mr Pötter gained experience in infrastructure project finance and the structuring of renewable energy portfolio transactions for institutional investors both at UniCredit and Bank Vontobel. Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners Mr Pötter worked for REpower Systems and was responsible for equity investments in wind farm projects as well as advising project developers on the financial structuring of power generation projects.

    Fabian Pötter graduated from the University of Mannheim and holds a Diploma in Business Administration.

    Wiebke Antony

    Management Assistant, started at Golding Capital Partners in 2008.

    Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners Mrs Antony worked as office manager and assistant to the CEO for three years altogether.

    After studies in Saarbrücken, Geneva and Granada, Mrs Antony completed her diploma in translation for French, Spanish and English.

    Marenka Bergmann 

    Manager, joined Golding Capital Partners in the GCP Structuring team in 2015. She is responsible for the design and due diligence of the investment structures from a legal and tax perspective, as well as for the structuring of GCP´s investment products.

    Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners in 2015 Ms Bergmann worked as a German qualified lawyer in the International Funds Department of King & Wood Mallesons LLP (formerly SJ Berwin LLP). In addition to advising national and international investment funds in relation to their legal structure and drafting the funds’ documentation, her focus was on advising investors with regard to their fund investments and, in particular conducting the legal due diligence.

    Ms Bergmann studied law at the University of Münster and completed her legal clerkship in Münster and New York. She has been a German qualified lawyer since 2010. Ms Bergmann has also obtained a Master of Laws degree from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, with First Class Honours and a specialisation in commercial law.

    Thorsten Birke

    Manager, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2013 and is responsible for institutional sales to domestic and international insurance companies and pension funds.

    He has more than ten years experience in capital markets which he gained at banks as well as financial services firms in Munich, Frankfurt and New York. Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners he worked at UBS for nine years in Frankfurt and Munich. In his last position he advised clients as product specialist on traditional and Alternative Investments.

    Mr Birke holds a degree in Economics from Ludwig Maximilians University Munich as well as the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst certification.

    Sven Boos

    Associate, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2016 and is responsible for institutional investors (pension funds, insurance companies, banks and savings banks).


    Prior to this, Mr Boos gained experience in the product management and support of wealthy private clients within the UniCredit Group and mutual savings bank sector.

    Mr Boos completed his banking apprenticeship and achieved his degree in business management at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

    Lutz Boxberger

    Director, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2017 in the Structuring team. He is responsible for the structuring of Golding Capital Partner´s investment products from a legal and tax perspective, as well as for the due diligence of the investment structures.

    Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners he worked more than a decade with law firms in the fields of tax and supervisory law, most recently as Counsel in the International Funds Department of King & Wood Mallesons LLP (formerly SJ Berwin LLP) with a particular focus on fund formation. In addition to advising alternative asset fund managers on tax and investment regulatory aspects in respect of fund formation his focus was on advising investors with regard to fund investments.

    Mr Boxberger studied law at the universities of Mainz and Leicester, UK and completed his legal clerkship in Wiesbaden, Frankfurt and New York. Prior to his studies Mr Boxberger received a Diplom-Finanzwirt FH from the Government School of the Hessian tax administration. He has been a German qualified lawyer since 2003 and a certified tax adviser (Steuerberater) since 2008. He regularly speaks and is widely published in the fields of tax and investment regulatory law. He is co-editor of the commentary on the German Capital Investment Code (KAGB), published with C.H. Beck.

    Simon Brugger

    Senior Associate, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2014 and is responsible for fund selection and monitoring.

    Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners, Mr Brugger worked for several years in investment banking at Rabobank (Utrecht) and Rothschild (London), where he advised on M&A transactions across Europe in the consumer sector.

    Mr Brugger holds a BSc in Business Administration and an MSc in Accounting, Corporate Finance and Control from Bocconi University in Milan. Furthermore, he completed a semester abroad at the University of Washington in Seattle.

    Thomas Dassel

    IT Manager, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2011. He is responsible for the administration of the IT infrastructure and management of in-house IT projects.

    Mr Dassel has more than 20 years of professional experience in the field of information technology. Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners Mr Dassel worked in the fields of knowledge management and IT project management for Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and Kraft Foods.

    Mr Dassel studied Industrial Engineering and Computer Science at the Technical University of Berlin.

    Markus Dorsch

    Director, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2011. His main activities include the IT workflow management as well as the design and implementation of data warehouse solutions in the context of automated reporting.

    Mr Dorsch has more than seven years of professional experience in information technology. After his freelancer on projects such as the redesign and extension of CRM systems for a payment service provider, he worked as a Business Intelligence Consultant with Datalog Software AG.

    Mr Dorsch holds a degree in Business Information Systems from Otto Friedrich University Bamberg.

    Thomas Fiebiger

    Senior Associate, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2016 and is responsible for institutional investors. Prior to this, Mr Fiebiger worked for a startup in Munich as a Business Development Manager and six years for Golding Capital Partners in sales management.

    Mr Fiebiger holds a degree in business administration from the Technical University of Dresden. Further, he completed a study exchange program at the University of Nantes in France. During his studies he worked for BNP Paribas (Paris) in the investment banking department as well as for Rödl & Partner in the M&A division.

    Edouard Georges

    Managing Director, is working for Golding Capital Partners (Luxembourg) since 2009. He is responsible for all regulatory and tax matters as well as for overseeing fund accounting, valuation, reporting and shareholder registers.

    Before joining Golding Capital Partners, he managed the legal departments of two financial service and fund administration companies and held legal and managerial positions with two further companies. He started his career in the legal department of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.

    Mr Georges holds a bachelor and postgraduate diploma in law as well as the EFFAS Diploma in Portfolio Management and Financial Analysis issued by IFBL. He is a member of the Luxembourg Association of Portfolio Managers and Financial Analysts (ALGAFI).

    Thomas Hallinger

    Senior Associate, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2015 and is responsible for the secondary market activity.

    Before joining Golding Capital Partners, Mr Hallinger worked as an associate in Financial Sponsor Solutions at UniCredit Bank and as an analyst in Private Equity Fund of Funds at Ardian (former AXA Private Equity), where he completed several primary and secondary transactions.

    Mr Hallinger holds a MSc in Finance from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Further, he completed a study exchange program at Kyung Hee University in the Republic of Korea as well as the Masterclass of Private Equity at the Coller Institute of Private Equity at London Business School.

    Ms Hammel has worked in the live entertainment sector for seven years focusing on the account management of concert promoters, theatres and sports clubs, event management and ticket distribution and marketing. Prior to her current position, Ms Hammel worked as a Client Account Manager and Assistant to the Managing Director in an international entertainment company.

    Ms Hammel holds a degree in German philology, English philology and sociology from the Freie Universität Berlin.

    Christian Harz

    Mr Harz spent four years in the audit group at PricewaterhouseCoopers Luxemburg, auditing mainly Banks and Private Equity Funds.

    Wolf Heselich

    Director, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2016. Mr Heselich is responsible for coordinating and managing in-house projects, the redesign of existing business processes and the development of business solution.

    Prior to joining Golding, Mr Heselich worked for several years as an independent business consultant such as for Deutsche Private Equity and Golding Capital Partners. Before that, he worked in transaction advisory services at Ernst & Young with the focus on coordinating the “financial integration”. Mr Heselich actually started his career at Golding Capital Partners as financial analyst.

    Wolf Heselich graduated with honors from the University of Bayreuth and the Weber State University (USA) and holds a degree in Business Administration.

    Christian Hoff

    Associate, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2015 and is responsible amongst others for portfolio analysis, reporting and preparation of annual financial statements for the funds of funds.

    Mr Hoff spent over four years in audit firms particularly with PricewaterhouseCoopers Luxemburg (PwC), auditing mainly Alternative Investments with focus on Private Equity Funds and Public Funds. There he gained experience in valuation and audit of financial statements according to German GAAP, Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS.

    He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Saarbrücken where he studied Business Administration with focus on accounting und audit.

    Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners, Mr Homberg worked in sales and key account management for a software company. Earlier positions included working in the area of marketing and sales in the banking and consumer goods industry.

    Hans Christian Kaiser

    Senior Associate, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2017 in the Structuring team. His main practice areas comprise the legal structuring and due diligence of investment structures and investment agreements – also with regard to banking and insurance supervisory law requirements.

    Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners Mr Kaiser worked for several years as a German qualified lawyer with KPMG Law in the areas of investment and banking supervisory law. The focus of his work was on providing advice to fund initiators and institutional investors with regard to the legal structuring of alternative investment funds and on the preparation of fund documentations. He was also involved with marketing approval and notification procedures as well as legal counselling on AIFM authorization procedures.

    Hans Christian Kaiser studied law at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg (with a semester abroad in Halifax) and completed the supplementary course Business and Commercial Law at the University of Hamburg before his German legal training in Hamburg and New York. He is a German qualified lawyer since 2011. Prior to his studies, Mr Kaiser completed a vocational training in commercial shipping (liner services).

    Denis Linezki

    During his studies he worked for State Street Global Advisors in the Product Engineering department as well as for UniCredit in the Markets & Investment Banking division.

    Thomas Lippert

    Manager, joined Golding Capital Partners as legal counsel in 2009.

    He has six years of prior experience at legal departments with finance services companies. Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners, Thomas Lippert worked with an investment company within the HypoVereinsbank group and the last two and a half years with a closed-end funds company.

    Thomas Lippert holds a law degree from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich and is a qualified German lawyer since 2002.

    Andre Matkovski

    Financial Analyst, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2015 and is responsible for target fund data analysis, portfolio analysis and Data Quality Management.

    Mr Matkovski completed his bachelor and master degree in business administration with a focus on finance and accounting at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. He also completed a semester abroad at the University of Maastricht.

    During his studies he already worked as a student intern for Golding Capital Partners. He gained additional experience in the fields of Investment Banking and Management Consulting through various internships.

    Edgar M’Bangui

    Senior Associate, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2015 in the structuring team. He is responsible for the design and due diligence of the investment structures from a legal and tax perspective, as well as for the ongoing monitoring of the tax compliance regarding GCP´s investment products.

    Before joining Golding Capital Partners, Mr M’Bangui worked at the Real Estate Tax & Legal department of PricewaterhouseCoopers for several years. In addition to the tax- and regulatory structuring consultancy for real estate funds and -corporations, his focus was on the conduct of tax due diligence for national and international transactions.

    Mr M’Bangui studied law at the University of Regensburg with his focus on commercial-, corporate- and tax law. He has completed his legal clerkship in Regensburg and San Francisco and is a German qualified lawyer since 2012.

    Beate Meyer-Hentschel

    Manager, Head of Human Resources, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2012 and is responsible for HR Management and organizational development.

    Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners Mrs Meyer-Hentschel worked for the E.ON group and held different positions in the field of HR and business development and strategy. She was mainly responsible for HR and executive development, HR management, talent management and strategic employer branding.

    Beate Meyer-Hentschel graduated from the University of applied science in Münster and École de Management Bordeaux and holds a double Diploma (French and German diploma) in Business Administration.

    Previously Corinne Metivier Bonilla spent twelve years with a retail company where she was responsible for accounting, controlling, cash management and year end reporting. Furthermore, she gained international experience in cash management in a publishing company.

    Ms Metivier Bonilla is a trained office clerk and completed the further education for an accounting professional.

    Stephanie Nebel

    Accountant, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2009 and is responsible for accounting, finance, tax and cash management.

    Previously, Stephanie Nebel spent five years with an international real estate company, where she was responsible for accounting, controlling, cash management and year end reporting. Furthermore, she gained experience with, inter alia, an international investment company.

    Mrs Nebel holds a business degree from the University of Applied Science of Munich, where she studied business administration with a focus on finance and controlling.

    Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners, Ms Opekine worked in an international organization in the office and facility management team. Furthermore she was employed in the film industry as an interpreter and production assistant and took over general reception activities.

    Ms Opekine graduated from the University of St. Petersburg with a diploma in interpreting and translation of English, German and Russian.

    Before joining Golding Capital Partners, Mr Pech worked for the corporate banking department of Commerzbank in Dusseldorf and Hong Kong and interned with the M&A team in Frankfurt.

    He graduated as Diplom-Kaufmann (FH) from FOM Hochschule fuer Oekonomie und Management, Essen. Furthermore he holds an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

    Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners, Ms Quizhpi worked as a Front Desk clerk in a hotel in Munich and five year as assistant in a company in Quito, Ecuador.

    Ms Quizhpi studied training as Multilingual Secretary (Spanish, German and English) in Munich. She also has a degree in Educational Science in English from the public university in Quito, Ecuador.

    Cristina Rempel

    Financial Analyst, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2015 and is responsible for the preparation of the annual financial statements of GCP funds as well as for the reporting of the fund of funds for private and institutional investors. She is also responsible for attending private investors’ questions regarding reporting issues.

    Mrs Rempel previously worked three years as audit assistant at Ernst & Young. She gained experience in audit of financial statements of international companies according to German and IFRS GAAP.

    Mrs Rempel has completed her Bachelor studies in Business Administration in Bucharest, Romania in 2008. In 2011 she graduated her Master in Business Administration at the Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg.

    Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners, Christoph Sandner worked in equity research at MainFirst Bank in Frankfurt and London and in risk management and performance analysis at Lazard Asset Management.

    Mr Sandner holds a M. Sc. degree in Banking and Financial Management from the University of Liechtenstein as well as a B.Sc.degree in Business Administration from the University of Bayreuth and is a CFA charterholder.

    Julia Sauer

    Associate, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2017 in the Structuring team. She is responsible for the design and due diligence of investment structures from a legal and tax perspective, as well as for the structuring of GCP´s investment products.

    Before joining Golding Capital Partners, during her legal clerkship, Ms Sauer worked in the legal department of Wart & Klein Grant Thornton GmbH, for her legal clerkship. She was particular involved in the fields of corporate and tax law.

    Ms Sauer studied law at the Ludwigs-Maximilians-University of Munich with a focus on international and european public law. She attended the legal clerkship program in Munich and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Within her legal clerkship, Ms Sauer completed a training as mediator (MuCDR).

    Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners, Mr Scheer worked at PwC in Cologne, where he was engaged in the audits of multinational industrial corporations. In addition, Mr Scheer gained experience as an intern at Avedon Capital Partners and Waterland Private Equity Investments.

    Mr Scheer holds a Bachelor degree (Government) from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Diploma for Graduates (Accounting) from the University of London. Furthermore, he completed an MBA at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a semester abroad at the London Business School.

    Christian Schnabel

    Director, joined Golding Capital Partners in 2008. He is mainly responsible for the administration of individual Managed Accounts, portfolio analysis and performance measurement. In addition, Mr Schnabel oversees the expansion of our finance and risk controlling capabilities in our Luxembourg subsidiary.

    Mr Schnabel spent four years in the audit department at KPMG, performing audits on banks, investment companies and mutual funds. Before joining KPMG he completed a cooperative university program with HypoVereinsbank as partner company, where he gained experience in Mergers and Acquisitions.

    Mr Schnabel holds a business degree with distinction from University of Cooperative Education Ravensburg and is a CFA charterholder.

    Prior to joining Golding, Mr Schmacher worked for Infracapital in London. At Infracapital, Mr Schumacher executed numerous M&A transactions in the infrastructure sector and presented the Company as director on the board of several portfolio companies. He qualified as Chartered Cetified Accountant (ACCA) with KPMG, where he gained extensive experience in conducting international financial due diligences.

    Mr Sommerhäuser spent five years in the audit group at PricewaterhouseCoopers, auditing national and international industrial companies. Before that, he completed an apprenticeship at the Deutsche Bank.

    Dr. Uwe Stein

    Risk Manager, joined Golding Capital Partners (Luxemburg) in April 2015. His tasks include initial and on-going analysis and monitoring of risks arising out of investment decisions, counterparties, procedures, market conditions and liquidity as well as the definition of appropriate measures to mitigate or reduce such risks.

    Mr Stein was previously employed as Conducting Officer responsible for risk management & compliance for almost four years at a Credit Suisse UCITS and AIFMD compliant management company in Luxemburg. Previously he held the role of Head of Risk Management at the Luxemburg management company of the Dr. Jens Ehrhardt group.

    Mr Stein holds a Degree in Economics and Business Administration (Dipl.-Oec.) from the University of Wuppertal where he also did his doctorate (Dr. rer. Oec) in modern portfolio theory according Henry Markowitz. In addition he graduated as financial analyst with the IFBL Diploma in Portfolio Management and Financial Analysis of the European Federation of Financial Analysts (CEFA/CIIA).

    Dr. Domenico Tamburro

    Senior Associate, joined Golding Capital Partners in the structuring team in 2015. He is responsible for designing and developing financial-mathematical models and carries out quantitative research and market analyses.

    Mr Tamburro has been working over six years at Commerz Finanz (a Joint Venture of BNP Paribas Personal Finance and Commerzbank) in risk management. As a quantitative risk analyst he was in charge of the risk-forecast modelling as well as monitoring and implementing the methodology for the quantification of credit risk provisions.

    Mr Tamburro obtained his Ph.D. in Physics at the Max Planck Institute in Heidelberg.

    Mr Tasi has more than five years of professional experience in IT. Prior to joining Golding Capital Partners Mr Tasi worked as a BI developer for a Microsoft Dynamics ERP Solution Vendor and was responsible for various reports and workflow processes, and he worked for a Retail Solutions Vendor and was responsible for the Data Warehouse, Data Processing and for the BI Reports.

    In the course of his 30-year professional career in the capital markets and private banking industry, Mr Trachsler held leading positions with companies such as M.M.Warburg in Zurich and Luxemburg and UBS in Zurich, New York and Los Angeles.

    Mr Trachsler holds a degree in business administration from HWV Basel, is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute as well as the Swiss CFA Society (SCFAS).

During his studies at University Nottingham, England, he focused on Operations Management and Manufacturing Engineering.
