SFDR 2.0: The real test lies in private markets
From a private markets perspective, however, the current proposal raises important practical considerations. Long-term investments, active ownership and engagement, as well as the specific characteristics of closed-ended funds cannot always be aligned with concepts developed primarily for liquid public markets. As a result, it will be crucial for future regulation to reflect the realities of how long-term investors deploy capital and drive change.
