The award is testament to the fantastic team effort that has brought us to where we are today in the area of ESG and sustainable investing. The Sustainability Report is the result of a cross-team collaboration involving many colleagues who worked intensively and passionately on this project.

Particular thanks must go to Christian Schütz and his team for their exceptional efforts and profound knowledge, which they share with us each day.

We are delighted that our first ever Sustainability Report has won this award”, comments Christian Schütz, Managing Director & Head of Sustainable Investing. “With this report, our aim was to show where we as a company stand with our investments, as well as the progress we have made in terms of sustainability and ESG.

The awards officially recognise asset managers, analysts and data providers that look at ESG aspects across all asset classes: fixed income securities, listed and private equities, bond funds, multi-asset funds, infrastructure funds and funds of funds. This year’s winners were selected by an independent jury characterised by its expertise, objectivity and credibility.

Moreover, we were also keen to highlight any shortcomings and associated problems, in addition to setting out our plans for the future. We are confident that we have achieved these aims with our report. Golding's motivation, our vision and ultimately our investment solutions have evolved over the past few years and in 2023 we felt ready to consolidate them in our Sustainability Report.

The Golding Sustainability Report, which was published at the end of 2023, offers insights into the methods adopted by investors for their sustainable investments, highlights key areas of focus and sheds light on the company’s own sustainability efforts. Furthermore, ESG risks are presented via a risk map, while details on greenhouse gases linked to the portfolio, as well as data capture and reporting methods, are also provided.

In our view, making these findings public was an important milestone not only for the company itself, but also for the private market in a wider sense.
