Responsible investing at Golding

After the entry into force of the Disclosure Regulation

The European Commission wants to make the sustainability of investments more transparent. As one of the first measures to achieve this goal, the European regulation on sustainability-related disclosure requirements in the financial services sector (known as the "Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation" or "SFDR" for short) came into force in parts on March 10, 2021. The EU regulation will be implemented in several steps and the requirements will be further specified and tightened in the coming months.

Consideration of ESG aspects is part of our self-image

As portfolio managers (AIFM) and investment advisors (collectively "asset managers"), we integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects into our investment decisions in line with the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), the occurrence of which could have actual or potential material adverse effects on the value of investments (so-called "sustainability risks").

We believe this not only helps us fulfill our social role, but also leads to improved risk management and enhanced identification of value creation potential in our investments.

We have set out our commitment to responsible investing in a dedicated Group-wide guideline. You can view our Guideline here: To the Guideline.

Signatory of the UNPRI

As an expression of our conviction, we have been a signatory to the Principles of Responsible Investment (PRI) initiated by the United Nations (UN) since 2013. These guide us in considering sustainability risks in our decisions and processes.

In the current UN PRI Assessment Report 2020, the approach we follow in the Manager Selection and Monitoring category has achieved an A+ rating in all three access channels Private Equity, Private Debt and Infrastructure (median A). In the Strategy & Governance category, Golding received an A rating (median A). You can view the full UN PRI Assessment Report 2020 here: UN PRI Assessment Report 2020.
